Wicked Stepsister
Syah Walker is in an all-out war with her stepsister, Keelah. Keelah is jealous of all the attention Syah receives for her MindLink skills as a peer counselor at Emdaria North Middle School. Early Concept Sketches
As a lover of art and writing, I sometimes find it easiest to sketch out my ideas for stories in a visual form. For the prologue, I had this image in my head of Syah waking from her dream and seeing Emdaria City outside her window. I felt I had to get that idea out of my head. So I created a color sketch to help me imagine what the city could look like. This particular scene actually takes place in the first chapter of Enemy Mind; however, Wicked Stepsister features art in some important ways, and I think this little sketch of Syah sketching is a fun way to acknowledge that idea.
